It is a nice campground..it is not for long term stays..even though they have several people living on the property...Mostly workers of the park. It is quiet. The showers are clean and hot with great water pressure. No sewer for campers..but they do have a dump station. Park is visited everyday by school field trips. Great place for kids. Staff is very nice. Price was very reasonable. Gated entrance for extra secure feelimg.
Lots of little activities for young children. Perfect for my 4 year old and his Pre-K class. They had a blast on their field trip. Would not however recommend it for older kids.
Nice spot for a short getaway although there were no sewer hookups and the sites were very close together (hence the three star review). The staff and campground host were excellent to work with. Our daughter enjoyed the walking trail by the pasture which had goats, chickens, and bunnies. We wouldn’t have a problem staying here again.
Located rather far from the highway in a mostly residential area. Although a lovely place, it's definitely not suitable for big rigs. The roadway into the campsite is a narrow single lane with speedbumps not perpendicular to the direction of travel. In our 40ft rig we were directed into the largest site in the park but we could not make the turn without backing up, necessitating unhooking our toad. Satellite tv unavailable due to the dense tree cover. Seemed to have mostly long-term residents.
Great environment and friendly staff. Spacious and secluded. Awesome for events and social get together. Close to I-20. Private and secure.
